In the mid-2010s, as the Kahrizak Charity Foundation expanded its facilities in Tehran and Alborz and enhanced the quality of care for its residents, the Board of Trustees identified a vital need: training qualified and compassionate professionals in elderly and disability care.
With the leadership of Dr. Hassan Ahmadi, a distinguished academic and CEO of the Foundation, and in collaboration with the University of Applied Science and Technology, the Kahrizak University of Applied Science and Technology for the Elderly and Disabled was officially established on October 22, 2017. The launch of its first Elderly Care program in February 2018 marked a new milestone in professional caregiving education in Iran.
Founded in a building donated by the Dr. Mostafa Naraghi Charity Foundation, the university created an opportunity for caregivers to receive standardized academic training for the first time. Since then, hundreds of graduates have joined healthcare and social service institutions nationwide, providing skilled and compassionate care to the elderly and people with disabilities.
The Dr. Mostafa Naraghi Charity Foundation, established by Mrs. Farvardin Tahbaz (Naraghi) and her children, Mrs. Nahaleh Naraghi and Dr. Ali Nasr Naraghi, has been a steadfast supporter of the university from its inception, contributing to its growth and development.
Today, with around 330 students enrolled in associate and bachelor’s programs, the university continues to nurture a new generation of professionals dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable populations. On this anniversary, the Dr. Mostafa Naraghi Charity Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to all managers, faculty, staff, and students, and looks forward to the continued advancement of this meaningful academic mission.
